Senator Halford, Chair, moved and asked unanimous consent for the adoption of the Resources Committee Substitute offered on page 2748. Without objection, CS FOR SENATE JOINT RESOLUTION NO. 40(RES) was adopted and read the second time. Senator Taylor moved and asked unanimous consent that the resolution be considered engrossed, advanced to third reading and placed on final passage. Without objection, it was so ordered. CS FOR SENATE JOINT RESOLUTION NO. 40(RES) was read the third time. Senators Hoffman, Lincoln, Taylor, Mackie, Ward moved and asked unanimous consent that they be shown as cosponsors on the resolution. Without objection, it was so ordered. 1998-03-09 Senate Journal Page 2794 SJR 40 Senators Leman, Lincoln, Adams, Hoffman moved and asked unanimous consent that they be allowed to abstain from voting because of a conflict of interest. Objections were heard and Senators Leman, Lincoln, Adams, Hoffman were required to vote. The question being: Shall CS FOR SENATE JOINT RESOLUTION NO. 40(RES) Relating to the fisheries management fee proposed by President Clinton, pass the Senate? The roll was taken with the following result: CSSJR 40(RES) Third Reading - Final Passage YEAS: 19 NAYS: 0 EXCUSED: 1 ABSENT: 0 Yeas: Adams, Donley, Ellis, Green, Halford, Hoffman, Kelly, Leman, Lincoln, Mackie, Miller, Parnell, Pearce, Phillips, Sharp, Taylor, Torgerson, Ward, Wilken Excused: Duncan and so, CS FOR SENATE JOINT RESOLUTION NO. 40(RES) passed the Senate and was referred to the Secretary for engrossment.
